Why are salaries in Lithuania twice as low as in Lithuanian workplaces abroad?

After all, prices do not differ so drastically. What's here? The greed and stupidity of entrepreneurs, forcing the best Lithuanian employees to emigrate? Lithuanian entrepreneurs just don't have shame anymore?

"According to the data of the Employment Service, the average monthly pre-tax salary is offered in seasonal workplaces registered in March: for unskilled workers - 812 EUR; for operators of food and similar products - 1200 EUR; for drivers - 1000 Eur, for qualified forestry employees - 865 Eur, for salesmen - 642 Eur.

Slightly more offers are currently being recorded abroad. According to CV-Online, most of the offers are in Western Europe: Germany, the Netherlands, England, Ireland. There are job offers in southern European countries as well. The offers here are mainly related to the tourism and hotel sector, staffing is needed in both customer service and catering establishments. R. Karavaitienė, the head of the employment agency, notices that some of the unemployed Lithuanians use unemployment insurance payments or another option that some choose is to go abroad to work, where they will definitely get twice as much for the same job as they do in Lithuania.
