Baltic gas pipeline Nord Stream 2: "It's just another tube"

"The Deputy President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Kubicki (FDP) only found approval from the AfD for his demand that the German-Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 be put into operation “as soon as possible” in order to fill the German gas storage facilities.

 

In a conversation with the newspapers of the editorial network Germany, Kubicki argued that there was “no good reason not to open Nord Stream 2 now”. The new pipeline was completed and filled at the turn of the year, shortly before the start of the sanctions on Russia.

 

In contrast, Kubicki argued that "everything that ensures that more gas from Russia arrives in Germany is of more use to us" than Putin.

 

A gas delivery from Nord Stream 2 is "no more immoral" than a delivery from Nord Stream 1; "It's just another tube".

 

When the German gas storage facilities are filled for the winter, the new Nord Stream 2 pipeline can be closed again."
