Tomatoes are lacking nutrients: what do the different symptoms indicate?
"Nitrogen deficiency - old shoots fade and turn yellow, the plant looks weak. Urea, bird droppings, wood ash help. Phosphorus deficiency - leaves wrinkle, become dark green or purple. Use superphosphate. Potassium - when lacking, the lower leaves turn yellow, later they dry out. Potassium sulfate is suitable. Magnesium - the areas between the veins turn yellow, the leaves curl, gray spots appear. It is recommended to fertilize with magnesium nitrate. Zinc and calcium - yellow leaves with spots, sometimes a strange color - yellow on top, green on the bottom. Specific supplements are needed. Boron - you will recognize it by the yellowing upper leaves and falling flowers. Spray with a 1% boric acid solution in the evening. Sulfur - the upper leaves turn yellow first, new ones - thin and brittle. The solution - sulfur fertilizers. Whatever the reason for yellowing leaves - the most important thing is to observe the whole plant, not just one leaf. Then the solution will be not only faster, but also more effective.”
