No, we are not talking about the troubles of Social Security. We are talking about apocalyptic changes of the Earth. The oceans are becoming acidic, jelly fish slowly replacing all other ocean creatures we know. The warming ocean water accumulates more energy creating increasingly devastating storms. The most livable places where most of us do live is getting flooded by expanding oceans. The melting and disappearing ice stops supplying our streams that most of us depend on for water. The temperature in many places becomes unbelievably hot more often. Tropical diseases and parasites are moving to more moderate climate areas. The air becomes more dangerous for us to breathe in many more places. Expanding deserts are endangering our food security.
Why is it so? We are cheating. Everyone of us. Not only Volkswagen with their hidden diesel emissions. Everyone who starts even an electric engine to go to the work is cheating if the electricity is produced mainly by burning coal at power stations. Flying is not damage free either. To build our buildings we need a lot of energy with a lot of damaging emissions. Our food is produced with huge damage to Earth. Everyone of us has to think harder how to change our ways.
