Who benefits from social disruption caused by increased level of immigation?

A 2006 study by Raymond Fisman and Edward Miguel discovered that diplomats from corrupt countries (Pakistan and Egypt) were much more likely to park illegally in New York City than diplomats from other places (Norway and Australia) (all three  links in this review point to the same article). This general lawlessness and disappearance of morals is good for upper 1 percent of society making a killing on slave labor of Chinese, Vietnamese and other slaves in communist and autocratic countries. Who will complain about closed factories in the West and mansions of the rich when all those annoying immoral diplomats and immigrants are running around.

It is well proven that ethnic and racial heterogeneity kills support for public goods, including public education and trash collection. This is exactly what is needed for enemies of unions, governmental support for middle class including unemployment benefits and social security system. Who are these enemies? Again, the very rich, who want to dismantle such systems, degrade the life of the society this way forcing desperate people even in the West to work for pennies.

And as Mr. Borjas points out,  that the difference between pay of natives and immigrants is larger than it was a few decades ago, and that immigrants take longer to get a better pay. It seems that productivity of today's immigrants is much lower than productivity of previous generations of immigrants. Upper crust is using this low productivity to lower pay for all workers across the board.

That is why there is not even one day in Lithuania and throughout Europe without some government action to encourage immigration.
