To the owner of a business

 You are right. The goal of your business is to produce a profit for you. Taking away that profit from you is stealing private property.

To produce the profit and to enjoy it, you have to support stability in your surroundings.

If in the pursuit of the profit you preserve the stability - great - all profit that belongs to you is yours.

If in the pursuit of the profit you destroy your community, harm your employees, overheat the Earth, kill out necessary for our existence living species - part of your profit should be taken away from you as a fine by corresponding people and your government. Kings, democratic and despotic governments should create and enforce such laws. Public opinion should shame your government and you for inaction or malicious action in this area. 

Here we are talking about actions that can be defended in court. If the court does not recognize that you are overheating the Earth, the profits remain with you, and so are the rest of the cases.
