“European Union goods exports to the U.S. tumbled in August after a tariff deal that ramped up duties on most goods from the economic bloc.
Exports to the U.S. were down 26% on month at 32.9 billion euros, or $38.3 billion, Eurostat data showed Thursday.
Compared with the same month of last year, they were down 22%, reducing the EU's trade surplus to 6.5 billion euros, it said. EU exports to the U.S. were last lower in August 2021.
Seasonally adjusted exports overall from the EU fell by 1.2% on month in August compared with July, Eurostat said.” [1]
