London calls for the recruitment of locals

"There is a shortage of around 100,000 truck drivers in Great Britain, which is why business associations want to relax the immigration rules. The British government, however, counters: The industry should pay better wages."

What a simple and great idea. Lithuanian carriers operate throughout Europe and receive European profits. Therefore, Lithuanian carriers can also pay higher salaries and hire Lithuanians. It wouldn’t just be patriotic. The reputation of Lithuanian business would be improved - in the end, carriers would stop attracting foreigners to Lithuania, would stop privatizing the profits of the exploitation of those foreigners, and would stop passing on to the state (to all of us)  the losses of taking care of those foreigners.
