“PARIS -- French authorities detained crew members of a tanker carrying Russian crude oil and are investigating whether it played a role in last week's drone incursions in Denmark.
French soldiers boarded the tanker as it was en route to India from the Russian Baltic Sea port of Primorsk. Earlier in its voyage, the vessel passed by Denmark at around the time of the drone incursions, which began late on Sept. 22, arousing the suspicion of investigators, a French official said.
The Kremlin has denied that it was behind the drone maneuvers.
The vessel is part of Russia's "shadow fleet," a group of older boats that Russian companies have hired to ship the country's oil products around the world beyond the reach of Western sanctions, Western officials said.” [1]
