"Possible European Border and Coast Guard Agency Frontex termination of the mission due to inhumane treatment of migrants by the Lithuanian authorities. The Delfi news portal announced the Bureau's plans to make recommendations
to Lithuania. According to Delfi, this is done after gathering evidence that Lithuanian border guards apply collective rejection of migrants - a practice that is contrary to international law and the European Convention on Human Rights, and the possibility to apply for asylum at an official border checkpoint does not really work. Possible recommendations include the proposal to send migrants
who have crossed the border illegally not to return to Belarus, but to
transport by the border guards themselves to border checkpoints where they can
legally apply for asylum.
The Frontex
office, which carried out the monitoring, also states that a system for
identifying vulnerable persons is not in place in Lithuania. According to the
office, it is particularly worrying that marginalized migrants may include
severely ill people, parents with young children, seniors, pregnant women and
victims of trafficking."
The Lithuanian elite has become accustomed to inhuman treatment of Lithuanian citizens (the salaries paid are not enough to support human life in Lithuania), and now they are hurting helpless migrants through reckless fascist methods. The fascists ended the suffering of sick people by shooting them at the concentration camps. This does not mean that fascists have become kind of human rights defenders, according to Kasčiūnas.
