Politics is the art of achieving the possible. From Trump's first term, we see Trump making deals with China that benefit his party's voters and no one else, such as selling more US agricultural products. He won't go with a tank on China if it doesn't benefit his party's voters. If we, Lithuanians, attack China alone, it is only our problem.
Trump calls us, citizens of the European Union, as much a problem for America as the Chinese, only we are weaker. It is not worth expecting that Trump will reduce our tariffs. It is naïve to be happy that the sinking, noncompetitive, EU economy is grasping at straws and giving work to a group of Lithuanian slaves working for wages twice as low as in the West. If the EU is already sinking, it is sinking completely, and its orders will soon run out.
Ukraine's problem is costly and raises prices in America. We see that Trump and his people, having filled the majority of the House of Representatives and the Senate, no longer want to waste money on Ukraine and the American army in Lithuania. Let's find other activities for us, Lithuanians. This matter is already definitively lost.
It is also naive to lie in the hope of deceiving Trump and his entourage. President Nausėda already lied to Trump that we spend more on the military's golden spoons than we actually do [1]. A banker tries to con an old representative of a construction business. Naive, and again, naive. You have to start working yourself. It is enough to spread lies in the hope of benefiting yourself.
