Trying to reopen Hormuz would encourage Iranians to proceed doing what Israel has done – destroy energy infrastructure in the Gulf.

This would further exacerbate and prolong the global energy crisis. It would be like trying to extract a bullet from a brain wound and accidentally pushing it deeper into the brain.
