"The fewest children in Western societies are born to people who are not religious, who hold progressive or liberal political views. Religiosity seems to act as a factor that stops the decline in the birth rate. Moreover, the more closed and, in a sense, the more radical a religious community is, the higher its birth rate. The Amish in America are currently experiencing a demographic explosion.
The sociologist Eric Kauffman, who drew attention to this trend, even wrote a book called "Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth?" and his answer to the question was - basically, yes."
