"Donald Trump's special envoy
Steve Witkoff has rejected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's plan for an
international peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
He said the idea was based on a
"simplistic" view by the UK prime minister and other European leaders
that "we all have to be like Winston Churchill", the BBC reports.
"There is this view that we all
have to be Winston Churchill. The Russians are going to march through Europe.
It's absurd, by the way. We have something called NATO that we didn't have in
World War II," Witkoff said when asked about Keir Starmer, the UK prime
minister's plans for a "coalition of the willing".
The United Kingdom and France are mobilizing a so-called
“coalition of the willing” to provide security guarantees to Ukraine by sending
their own peacekeepers.
In an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson, Witkoff
praised Vladimir Putin, saying he “likes” the Russian president.”
And here in
Lithuania, we have spilled so much ink discussing Starmer's plan. Even our
President Nausėda discussed how many soldiers we can send to Kiev, and what a
big military secret it is. It turns out that all this is a plan of stupid
Churchill impersonators, and President Nausėda should go back to working as a
clerk in a Scandinavian bank. All his decisions in politics, starting from
joining the communist party, just before the beginning of the period of
Independence, are wrong. It is a shame for us that we elect such losers as
presidents.
