Former Soviet bloc states have to demonstrate that they can become mature states.

Otherwise, China, India, Indonesia and other Third World countries (most of the people) will realize that it is too expensive to maintain such a quagmire in the former Soviet bloc countries, which poses the risk of global economic crisis and nuclear war. Most people are already considering switching to the time-tested, more stable, order of influence zones. The majority of the world's people in the aforementioned Third World countries have already accumulated enough economic and military potential to influence the course of the debate on this topic. If we want to remain independent, we must listen to their voices:

"After a Chinese diplomat stated that the former Soviet-occupied states are no longer independent, China hastened to officially deny such words. However, Lithuanian politicians and experts say: it is impossible to write off the scandalous comments of the Chinese diplomat. It is said that this reflects Beijing's attitude towards Eastern European countries. It shows the ever-strengthening alliance between China and Russia in the creation of a new world order, says the LNK report.

"According to international law, the countries of the former Soviet Union do not have, as we say here, an effective status in international law, because there is no international agreement specifying their status as souvenir countries", - this statement of the Chinese ambassador to France caused a fierce reaction in the world. The Chinese diplomat echoed Russia's claims that Ukraine is not an independent state. Vladimir Putin makes no secret of his desire to restore the Soviet Union.

"It shows that China and Russia are striving for a world dominated by spheres of power and influence, rather than international rules and norms," said VU TSPMI Jean Monnet professor Ramūnas Vilpišauskas.

"We are independent countries, EU and NATO members. I hope an explanation will be provided. We are not satisfied with this statement," said Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. Yesterday, China's foreign ministry denied its diplomat's comments. "China respects the sovereignty, independence and integrity of all countries. China upholds the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, China was the first country to establish diplomatic relations with the respective countries. China respects the sovereign status of the countries of the former Soviet Union after the dissolution of the Soviet Union," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said in a statement.

Despite the Chinese government's denial, there is no rush to write off the Chinese diplomat's statement. "This shows what kind of internal dispute is going on in China itself regarding the relationship with Eastern European, post-Soviet states", commented the Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas. In recent years, China has become more active in world politics.

"The increased level of conflict between America and China is now also reflected in other regions of the world," stated R. Vilpišauskas.

The Chinese are conducting aggressive exercises near Taiwan, which the Americans are committed to defending. Europeans worry that a conflict there would cause the Americans, Ukraine's main backers, to withdraw from Europe. According to R. Vilpišauskas, the aim is to intimidate Western countries so that they are divided due to their attitude towards China. "The Chinese ambassador's statement about the sovereignty and existence of countries that belonged to the Soviet Union is something we will discuss in the context of China-European Union relations. The Council will start discussing China. Perhaps in June, the strategy towards China will be adjusted," said Josep Borrell, head of EU diplomacy. Eighty members of the European Parliament, as well as members of national parliaments, collected signatures for the French to expel the Chinese diplomat from Europe. According to MEP Andrias Kubiliaus, now is a sad stage for the United Nations, which has to ensure peace in the world, in whose Security Council there is both Russia and China, which has promised friendship without borders to the Russians. A couple of months ago, American intelligence reported that China was considering supplying weapons to Russia. No evidence has been provided yet."
