"Compared to last year, those who earn 5,000 euros on
paper (or more than 3,000 in their hands), the number of such people in
Lithuania has tripled. Delfi announced that almost 82,000 people received such
salaries in February. Exactly one year ago in February there were 28.7 thousand
such earners.
Meanwhile, the largest group of employees, as many as 203
thousand persons, earned EUR 2,001-3,000 (EUR 1,241-1,815 in hand) in February.
This is a higher than average salary (1184 EUR in hand). For comparison, two years
ago the largest group of employees (198 thousand) received a salary of
1000-1300 euros on paper, or 670-840 euros in hand.
About two thirds of the people who earn between 900 and 2500
euros in their hands in our country, that is about 60 percent of Lithuanians."
