"b.s.:
God forgive them
because they do not understand what they are doing.
If the Jews did
that, there would be nothing left of them. Lithuania is/will be weaker without
Lithuanians, who emigrated.
For example, I
made a life in the US, and I don't get the benefits of US citizenship, and the
further I go, the harder it gets. Children, travel, the rights of a stateless
immigrant are much less, and I risk being deported if... (drunk driving, wrongly
accused, some official will hang on to wrongly filled out documents, etc.
etc.). Not taking local citizenship becomes a burden and too much of a risk. I
don't know how many more years I will wait. But take away the citizenship, the
desire to spend summers in Lithuania instead of Spain/France, to buy a
homestead/apartment, to bring friends, to invest in business in Lithuania, will
quickly go away. Success in getting rid of Lithuanians living abroad who love
Lithuania will not make Lithuania truly "stronger" and more united."
If you decided to destroy yourself, then you will destroy
yourself, you were told that "let us our unity bloom". You can't.
