In this case, Gabrielius Landsbergis is the stupid one, and China is beating us all for the non-diplomatic behavior of our stupid one (supposedly the chief Lithuanian diplomat).
As always, there is an economic consideration in the behavior of big and smart China. Lithuanian businesses are competitors of Chinese businesses. We use cheap labor (like the Chinese) to compete mainly in the primitive manufacturing industry. In the past, Germans and other developed countries exported such businesses to China. Now they have discovered us.
Chinese businesses due to a diplomatic mistake by Gabrielius Landsbergis found a pretext to stop the relocation of such businesses from China to Eastern Europe. Chinese businesses are showing all the West what they can do with uneducated, misbehaving in a decent society, Eastern Europeans, including us, Lithuanians.
The capital does not like such risks and quickly finds a way out - to continue movement to China. And we are left empty handed.
