Shue shue, bul' bul' - this is not Russia for you to attack three times a day, you need to work here: The new French Napoleon the Tiny E. Macron dissolved the parliament, announced new elections

"French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Sunday that he was dissolving parliament and calling new elections for June 30.

This was announced after polls showed that France's far-right "National Rally" (RN) is significantly ahead of the president's camp in Sunday's elections to the European Parliament.

The second round of elections will take place on July 7.

"France needs a clear majority of calm and harmony. "Being French at heart means choosing to write history instead of being ruled by it," Macron said.

Mr Macron said: "I have decided to give you back the opportunity to vote for the future of our parliament."

He admitted that the results of the EP elections "are not good for pro-European parties".

"Far-right parties are making progress everywhere on the continent. This is a situation I cannot accept. This decision is serious and difficult, but it is an act of trust. Confidence in you, dear compatriots, and in the ability of the French people to make the best decision for themselves and for future generations," said E. Macron.

Data from surveys of people who voted for the EP in the French elections, published by several companies, including IPSOS, show that the list of 28-year-old Jordan Bardella RN has more than 30% of the vote.

RN has not yet managed before to collect such a large share of votes.

President Macron's Revival Party, led by Valerie Hayer, is in second place with 15.2% of the vote.

Mr Bardella, addressing supporters earlier on Sunday, said the French had "expressed a desire for change" and called on Mr Macron to call early parliamentary elections.

Macron warned on Thursday that the EU was at risk of being "blocked" after the election due to the large number of far-right representatives in the European Parliament.

The decision to dissolve the National Assembly was greeted with disbelief by Macron's supporters, with several chanting "Oh no" as he spoke.

Supporters of Marine Le Pen's National Rally party celebrated as Macron announced the dissolution of parliament, leading to new elections.

They chanted "Dissolved!" Dissolved!” as they watched Macron address an election event where Le Pen was expected to speak.

The election results also mark an important moment as eyes turn to the 2027 French presidential election. E. Macron will no longer be able to run, and RN representative Marine Le Pen hopes for the best chance to enter the Elysée Palace."
