Russian Parliamentarian: There is No Big Difference for Us How Many Small Countries We Will Have to Destroy in Case of an Attack on Russia

Alexei Zhuravliov, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, commenting on the decision of Finland and Sweden to join NATO on Thursday, said that Russia does not care how many small countries will have to be destroyed in the event of a nuclear war with the Alliance, UNIAN reports.

 

"The Swedes and Finns need to understand the simple things: we will only face you directly in one case - if we have a war with NATO. And if there is a war with NATO, it will be a war with nuclear weapons, not drones. There is no big difference for us to have 28 or 32 countries to destroy," - the Russian parliamentarian said.

 

According to him, Sweden and Finland must understand that "Russia has enough of everything".

 

"United States have 300 mln. of population, in theory there may still be somebody left alive there. But for the Finns, who number 5 million or a little more, there is no chance," - said A. Zhuravliov."

 

Sweden and Finland have officially applied for NATO membership on Wednesday."
