"Electrify H2" of Latvia, which is developing a
hydrogen-powered motor boat, in order to implement the project as quickly as
possible, decided to transfer 20% of the company's shares to crowdfunding
participants. It is planned to collect over 200,000 EUR through the CrowdedHero
platform.
"This means that anyone can become a co-owner of the
company," db.lv quotes Electrify H2 as saying.
Agris Amolinšas, CEO of Electrify H2 reminds us that the
European Union (EU) aims to become climate neutral. And currently, 25% of all
emissions are trasportation pollutants. However, the motorboat segment lacks vehicles
that meet the criteria for sustainable mobility solutions, and there is no
supply of hydrogen-powered water vehicles.
The company is developing a motorboat based on hydrogen
molecule technology, the only byproduct of which is clean water.
According to Kristaps Dambis, Chief Engineer of Electrify
H2, the hydrogen technology will make their powerboats significantly superior
to boats equipped with only an electric motor. They will be able to cover
longer distances and perform tasks that require more energy. These boats will
have lower maintenance costs than fossil-fueled land transport.
The company plans that a large part of the ship's components
will be produced in Skulte, near Riga.
Fundraising through CrowdedHero will last for two months.
The minimum investment in the project is EUR 115, and the expected dividend
return is at least 40% of profit from 2026.
If the planned investments can be collected through the
crowdfunding platform, it is expected that over the next five years,
investments in the production of hydrogen-powered boats will increase from
seven to ten times.
"Electrify H2" was registered in March of this
year, its share capital is EUR 35,000.
The sole owner of the company, Electrify, is engaged in the
conversion of serial cargo minibuses into electric passenger minibuses. The
company's 2022 has not yet submitted financial reporting documents. in 2021 its
sales revenue amounted to 1.64 million EUR, profit – EUR 529,112.
The shareholders are three natural persons."
