More realistic scenario is: Guns or survival as developed strong European Union countries. Transitioning to a new economy is expensive and is coupled with huge political risks. If we are disregarding the protective power of nuclear weapons and are spending the lion share of our money on useless drones and tanks, we are missing the train of transition to the new economy.
