What were those thinking who allowed Ukrainian food to be shipped to the EU duty-free?

That EU farmers will starve but suffer through it? What are they afraid of? Of you? That EU residents will be indifferent to the destruction of EU agriculture? That we will eat carelessly prepared Ukrainian food and pretend to be happy?
