Lithuanian potato-meat dumplings, cepelinai, with a lot of starch, without boiled potatoes, by pressing with a spoon through a sieve (simplified method)


"For cepelinai: ~ 20 pcs. medium-sized potatoes, 1 tbsp. potato starch, salt (dough should be soft).

For the filling: 300 g minced meat, 0.5 onion, salt, pepper.

In a pot with water: 3 liters of water, salt, suspended starch (100 ml of water + 1 tbsp. starch). Boil slowly, 20 minutes.

For the sauce: fry 200 g of hot smoked bacon and 2 onions.
