Electric vehicles are the best cars to have when taking short trips

"Electric vehicles are the best car to have when taking short trips. Unplug them from your garage in the morning, drive to work and do errands, then plug them back in. You will never have to go to the gas station. Road trips, however, are a different story. Here's my advice:

Remember that batteries have a sweet spot. They charge fastest between 20% and 80%.

To make the best time, stop to charge before the battery gets below the 20% mark, and don't bother charging to 100% if you can make it to the next charger with less.

The type of EV you have will make a difference. Tesla invested in a dedicated charging network. A Tesla Supercharger works incredibly fast compared with Level 2 or Level 3 chargers, and there are usually at least six or more chargers at a station. It takes about 20 minutes to charge a 2017 Tesla from 20% to 80%, and that will get you another 200 miles down the road." [1]
