Tesla, controlled by US billionaire Elon Musk, has almost
halved its sales in Europe's largest car market.
According to the Federal Transport
Agency KBA, only 885 new Tesla electric cars were registered in the country in
April - 46% less than in the same month last year, which is almost half as many
as Chinese BYD, whose sales increased 8.5 times to 1,556 units.
Germany's overall new electric car market grew by 53.5%,
with electric cars accounting for 19% of all new registrations in the country
last month, the highest share since the federal government ended subsidies for
electric cars in December 2023.
Tesla's sales have been slowing globally due to fierce
competition from Chinese manufacturers.”

delay.
