Why did US president D. Trump tell that Ukraine's Zelensky started the conflict with Russia?

Since no leader of a weaker country fights a much stronger country if that leader (Zelensky) has no plan to run away to Israel in case of an inevitable defeat. Zelensky is Jewish, he doesn't care about Ukraine.
