"For many gardeners, flowers have already appeared on
tomatoes. However, they do not guarantee a good harvest yet. The flowers may
fall or simply not turn into buds.
Ideal conditions for the formation of buds
You don't need to immediately grab a sprayer. First of all,
it is worth checking the environmental conditions. According to the author of
the "Zen" channel "Sodas daržas Life", the first thing you
need to do is check the temperature in the greenhouse.
It should be between +13 and +22 °C. If the temperature is
lower than +13 °C, the pollen does not ripen, and if it is higher than +22 °C,
it becomes sterile.
Ideal fertilizer: sugar + yeast
Many gardeners know about this wonderful combination for
June. However, it is important to follow the exact dosages.
Fertilizer preparation
Take 100 g of fresh yeast, dissolve it in 1 liter of water,
add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix everything well and ferment for 2-3 hours. Then
add the mixture to 10 liters and spray on the leaves and inflorescences once
every 14 days, writes the gardener.
Personal experience
Last season, journalist Victoria sprayed tomatoes in the
inflorescence phase with yeast fertilizer, precisely during flowering. The
result exceeded expectations. The bunches became abundant, and the number of
empty flowers decreased noticeably.
Experienced gardeners know that flowers need stimulation.
Yeast fertilizers are used by many.
"I always had problems pollinating tomatoes in the
greenhouse because of the heat. I tried this recipe and I was surprised. The
sprouts doubled," says gardener Marina.
The gardener Sergej seconded her: "Previously, my
large-fruited varieties dropped flowers as soon as the temperature changed.
After two fertilizations with this mixture, the bushes simply became full of
fruit."
