When the US used nuclear weapons on Japan, did the US ask China if it was okay? Will Russia, if it decides to use nuclear weapons, ask China if it is okay?
Legally and militarily, Russia is an independent nuclear superpower. The Russian president does not legally need permission from any other country to make a decision to use nuclear weapons.
