"The House
of Representatives' agreement on an interim budget contains a bitter message
for allies:
Even without
Trump's return to the White House, America's support is no longer secure.
First of all, it
is good news for Americans that the House of Representatives has passed an
interim budget and will most likely save the country a government shutdown.
Public employees and taxpaying citizens should not be the victims of the
Republican Party's turf wars and culture wars.
Brushed for
ruckus
However, because
they continue to smolder, the conflict has only been postponed. The new speaker
Mike Johnson was again dependent on the help of the Democrats, for which his
predecessor Kevin McCarthy was removed from office by the hardliners from their
own ranks. It is unlikely that these riotous people will be more willing to
compromise at the beginning of next year, when another decision is due. Then
the election campaign really begins.
However, the
decision is bad news for the citizens of Israel and Ukraine, because the House
does not provide any money for these two American allies. Kiev in particular
urgently needs it, because after the failure of the most recent offensive, the
country must at least hold the front.
This is once
again a serious warning signal from Washington for Germany: America's support
can no longer be blindly relied on, even if Trump has not even returned to the
White House yet. The “turning point” is just beginning.”"
Kiev does not need to maintain a front. You put $100 bills on the plane and fly to Dubai.
