This Is Not Defense, This Is Stupid and Pointless Teasing of Neighbors and the Destruction of Our Country

That is why, to divert our attention from real problems, Nausėda is organizing a Western European defense comedy. The Chinese are not giving the West rare earth magnets for defense, without which there will be no more drones and missiles. How Nausėda will defend himself with sticks and stones against such weapons, including nuclear ones, he does not explain. This is not defense, this is stupid and pointless teasing of neighbors and the destruction of our country.

 

China really dominates the production of rare earth elements and especially permanent magnets (e.g. neodymium iron boron magnets) – about 80-90% of the global supply chain.

 

By the end of 2025 and at the beginning of the new year, there were new Chinese export restrictions on rare earth elements and magnets, which are used in electric motors, wind turbines, electronics, including military equipment (drone engines, missile guidance systems, radars, etc.).

 

This is a concern for the defense industry of Western countries, as there is a lack of alternative suppliers (the USA, Australia, Europe are trying to develop their own factories, but the process is slow and expensive).
