Is it economically unprofitable to insulate Soviet houses?

The statement that it is not worth it to insulate Soviet houses is a myth. A comprehensive renovation reduces heating costs by 40% - 70%, and state support allows you to recover part of the investment and significantly increase the value of the house.

The economic benefit is determined by the following aspects:

• Reduced bills: In an average 45 - 55 m² apartment, the renovation fee is about 90 - 120 Eur/month. (including a preferential loan), but up to 50 Eur is saved just for heating.

• State support: APVA (Environmental Project Management Agency) provides support to achieve at least B energy efficiency class and a 40% reduction in heating energy costs.

• Building durability: Insulation and replacement of engineering systems protect structures from decay and extend the life cycle of the house
