In Prague, few people show support for Ukraine --- Demonstration against poverty, against NATO and against support for Ukraine

"Several thousand people took part in an anti-government demonstration in Wenceslas Square in Prague to protest against the policies of Petr Fiala's center-right coalition, including its military support for Ukraine.

The Czech Information Agency reported that approximately 10,000 people took part in the demonstration organized by the non-parliamentary opposition party Law, Respect, Knowledge (PRO). people, but this number has not been officially confirmed.

The main theme of the protest is "Czech Republic against poverty".

The demonstrators raise primarily economic problems. They protested against high energy prices and low living standards, but also against NATO membership, the potential presence of American soldiers on Czech soil and support for Ukraine, which they believed would lead to economic problems.

- Today we have taken another step to remove the stone from the path that is Petr Fiala's government - PRO leader Jindrich Reichl told the protesters. - They are agents of foreign powers, people following orders, mere puppets. And I no longer want a puppet government," Raichl said, adding that the Czech Republic should veto any attempts by Ukraine to join NATO.

Orban's policy is a role model

Raichl hailed the nationalist policies of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as a role model and called for an alliance of Central European countries to oppose Brussels.

He also expressed support for former Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who adopted a strongly anti-Western stance before the elections scheduled for September 30.

Police said the protest was peaceful.

A small counter-demonstration took place in front of the National Museum in Prague in support of Ukraine and Czech military aid for Kiev."
