The Science Moved On

"Daniel Henninger ("The Counter-Revolt Begins," Wonder Land, April 25) correctly notes that "firing the president won't close the barn door" at elite universities that have become hotbeds of antisemitic and anti-American protests and intimidation. But the next step should not be to "fire the admissions office," as Mr. Henninger suggests. Instead, go for faculty who indoctrinate students into their progressive worldview.

These professors routinely engage in behavior that is unacceptable in an academic setting. They don't brook any disagreement. They single out Jewish students for maltreatment. They cancel or relocate classes to encourage students to attend demonstrations.

They celebrate the actions of Hamas as resistance to colonial settlers and keep their students ignorant of previously accepted Middle East history.

Many of their students have no idea how long Jews have lived in Palestine or what river and sea they are chanting about.  The change at our universities is deep. But it starts with the faculty, not the students.

The professors know best. This is a big achievement of science. Enjoy.
