(Reported by ELTA and lrytas.lt) "On Friday, after announcing
an agreement with Vladimir Putin regarding the import of oil products, U.S.
President Donald Trump made another significant statement: he urged Ukraine to
replace President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a new leader. He sharply criticized
Zelenskyy for strikes on Russian oil refineries, which contributed to rising
diesel prices in the U.S. ahead of the election.
"You
know what I suggest? I suggest that Ukraine elect a new leader who is capable
of reaching a deal. For some reason, Zelenskyy never makes deals, even though
he has had plenty of opportunities to do so," Trump said in a post shared
by *Clash Report*.
Trump told reporters at the White House that he had given
Zelenskyy the green light to take whatever actions he wished against Russia but
had warned him against attacking oil refineries. "He could have reached an
agreement many times, but chose not to. We told him: do whatever you want to
Russia, but don't attack oil refineries, because that becomes a global problem.
He wants to cause problems for the world.
He wants to cause problems for our farmers by triggering a
fuel shortage. We said—do whatever you want, just don't attack the refineries.
What does he do? He attacks oil refineries," Trump continued. It is worth
noting that Trump has repeatedly blamed Ukraine for the global fuel crisis and
correctly pointed out that the war in Iran had far less impact on it.
As previously reported, on October 9, US President Donald
Trump announced that, with US permission, Russia would immediately supply
300,000 tons of diesel to the global market. According to Trump, another
500,000 tons would be supplied in November, followed by another 1 million tons.
Russia also committed to supplying an additional 3 million tons of this fuel to
the market later on."
