A treacherous move to allow boys to be brainwashed longer: Zelensky allowed young men to leave the country, hoping that boys would stay in high school longer

 

“Ukraine currently prohibits men aged 18 to 60 from leaving. Because of this rule, most parents send their boys abroad before they turn 18. Seeing the situation, the Ukrainian government passed a law that slightly changes the border crossing rules.

The Financial Times reports that Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has announced that young men under the age of 22 will be able to leave the country. This change in border control rules has also been coordinated with the military leadership.

 

Yulia Svyrydenko, the country’s prime minister, said that the law will apply to “anyone who, for whatever reason, sees their future abroad.”

 

She added that she hopes those leaving will maintain close ties to Ukraine.

 

Under martial law, the rule that adult men cannot leave the country has been a source of tension in recent years. Parents have rushed to send their boys abroad before they turn 18 in order to circumvent this ban.

 

Also, some men who received temporary permission to leave did not return. For this reason, the rules were tightened, and Ukrainian men and their families who fled the war did not see each other for a year or even longer.

 

According to Oleksandr Fedienko, a representative of the Servant of the People party in the Ukrainian parliament, recently almost only girls have been graduating from high school, and universities are also not getting any applications from boys.

 

It is hoped that such a change will encourage young people to stay and contribute to building Ukraine’s future.

 

Only young people who have reached the age of 25 can be drafted into the country’s army. With the constant shortage of soldiers, both domestic officials and foreign leaders have urged V. Zelensky to lower this age and draft younger Ukrainians into the army, but the president rejects such a proposal.”
