Finally, combat drones for the Bundeswehr

 

"SPD politician Mützenich can no longer hold back. But there is another threat to the development of a drone force: Germany's procurement scam.

 

Since 1922 events in Ukraine, the whole world has known that a new weapon system is changing warfare like the machine gun, the tank, and the missile once did: the drone. Many states had even recognized this before. But one country had scruples and wanted to remain innocent. To this day, this state only has drones in its arsenal that can at most harm a fly: yes, as usual, Germany.

 

This credit goes primarily to the SPD and its former parliamentary group leader Mützenich. As recently as the end of 2024, he was still saying that the acquisition of armed drones was not necessary, but dangerous; their use could lead to the escalation of wars.

 

There are manufacturers in Germany who were more perspicacious.

 

In view of such persistent delusion, despite a clear view of a drone wars that has already lasted many years, one dares to say The news that the Bundeswehr is finally allowed to order and test combat drones is hard to believe. Fortunately, there are manufacturers in Germany who already recognized where drones were headed when the SPD still considered them the work of the devil. There would also be enough money for the necessary "drone wall" of reconnaissance, defense, and attack systems.

 

The greatest threat to the extremely important and time-critical development of a German drone force is no longer the SPD, but the procurement bureaucracy. It still has as much braking power as Mützenich used to.”
