How are so ‘magical’ assassinations these days performed? Iran’s Guard threatens to target US tech companies if more leaders are killed

“Iran’s Revolutionary Guard threatened on Tuesday to target leading US tech companies such as Apple, Google and Meta if more Iranian leaders are killed in “targeted assassinations.”

 

“These companies should know that for every assassination in Iran, their respective units will be destroyed starting from Wednesday, April 1, at 8 p.m. Tehran time (7:30 p.m. Lithuanian time),” the Guard said in a statement, which listed 18 companies it said were involved in the killings.

 

“We recommend that employees of these institutions leave their workplaces immediately if they want to save their lives,” it added.

 

The threat comes as President Donald Trump says he is making diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, but also threatens to step up the US-Israeli campaign against the Islamic Republic.

 

The Guards said in a statement that the US government and tech giants “ignored our repeated warnings about the need” to end operations targeting top Iranian officials, and claimed that tech companies were “a key element in planning and monitoring the assassination targets.”

 

The 18 companies, which also include Intel, Microsoft and Oracle, as well as electric car maker Tesla, analytics firm Palantir and chipmaker Nvidia, face retaliation, the statement said.

 

“Companies actively involved in terrorist plots will face retaliation for each targeted assassination,” the statement said.

 

On the first day of the war, February 28, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Revolutionary Guard Commander Mohammad Pakpour were assassinated, and the US and Israel are seeking to assassinate the entire echelon of Iran’s leadership.

 

The Islamic Republic’s influential security chief, Ali Larijani, and many other prominent figures were also assassinated.

 

Israel and the US say they have dealt Iran a major blow by killing the top officials, but some analysts say the Islamic Republic is showing resilience and the ability to recover from setbacks.”

Šis grasinimas paskelbtas tuo metu, kai prezidentas Donaldas Trumpas teigia, kad deda diplomatines pastangas siekdamas užbaigti konfliktą, tačiau taip pat grasina sustiprinti JAV ir Izraelio kampaniją prieš Islamo Respubliką.

 

Gvardijos pareiškime teigiama, kad JAV vyriausybė ir technologijų milžinės „ignoravo mūsų pakartotinius įspėjimus dėl būtinybės“ nutraukti operacijas, nukreiptas prieš Irano aukščiausio rango pareigūnus, ir tvirtinama, kad technologijų įmonės yra „pagrindinis elementas planuojant ir stebint nužudymo taikinius“.

 

Dėl to šioms 18 įmonių, tarp kurių taip pat yra „Intel“, „Microsoft“ ir „Oracle“, taip pat elektromobilių gamintoja „Tesla“, analitikos įmonė „Palantir“ ir lustų gamintoja „Nvidia“, gresia atsakomieji veiksmai, teigiama pareiškime.

 

„Įmonės, aktyviai dalyvaujančios teroristiniuose planuose, susidurs su atsakomaisiais veiksmais už kiekvieną tikslinį nužudymą“, – teigiama pareiškime.

 

Pirmąją karo dieną, vasario 28-ąją, buvo nužudyti Irano aukščiausiasis lyderis Ali Khamenei ir Revoliucinės gvardijos vadas Mohammadas Pakpouras, o JAV ir Izraelis siekia nužudyti visą Irano vadovybės ešeloną.

 

Taip pat buvo nužudytas įtakingas Islamo Respublikos saugumo vadovas Ali Larijani bei daugelis kitų žinomų veikėjų.

 

Izraelis ir Jungtinės Valstijos teigia, kad nužudydami aukščiausio rango pareigūnus jie sudavė Iranui didelį smūgį, tačiau kai kurie analitikai teigia, jog Islamo Respublika rodo atsparumą ir gebėjimą atsigauti po patirtų nesėkmių.”
